Russian International Olympic University Scholarship Programme

We are pleased to announce that Russian International Olympic University invites Russian and international candidates to apply for the RIOU Scholarship Programme to pursue the Master of Sport Administration course in the 2024-2025 academic year. The scholarship is available to applicants of any nationality and covers tuition, accommodation and monthly allowance.
Application and Selection Process
- To apply you need to submit MSA Application online. You do not have to apply separately for the scholarship. Just choose scholarship option in the MSA Application to notify the Admissions you want to apply for the scholarship
- Before starting the application make sure to read application guidelines and prepare the following documents:
- Bachelor's certificate
- Academic transcripts
- Valid passport (should be valid for a minimum period of 18 months from the visa issue date and should contain at least 2 blank pages)
- Valid English language certificate that meets the minimum level requirement of C1
- Where appropriate: other documents (for example letters of recommendation, appreciation letters)
- Deadline for submitting the complete application package: 31st July 2024
- After submitting application package candidates may also be invited for an online interview. Interviews are usually scheduled for June and July or earlier
- Winners announcement date: 6th August 2024. The winners' list will be published on the RIOU website. Selected scholars will also receive scholarship confirmation letters

Important Information
- Scholarship cannot be deferred and is not renewable
- Students will be required to submit their legalized University diploma for recognition purposes upon their arrival in Sochi. All education qualification documents awarded outside Russia and submitted as part of application to universities in Russia are subject to recognition by the relevant expert organisation
- International students will be also required to buy Health Insurance Certificate to be enrolled for the course in Russia
- Estimated amount of living costs (not including tuition and accommodation) is appr. 400 000-500 000 rubles (appr. 4,000-5,000 USD) for the whole period of study. International students are recommended to consult their banks to explore options to access their bank accounts during their stay in Russia. One of the options is having a UnionPay card. Alternatively, students need to bring cash and exchange it once they arrive in Russia. MasterCard and Visa cards issued by foreign banks are not currently accepted in Russia.
