Professional Experience:
Lectured in the sociology of sport, sport development, research methodology and physical education.
Conducting extensive research in the field of gender, leadership, safeguarding, physical education and impact assessments related to sport development, stakeholder mapping and sustainable livelihoods in and outside the sport sector related to volunteering and transferable skills.
Serve on various editorial boards of research journals.
Served as Vice-President of the International Sociology of Sport Association (ISSA) and current President of the South African University Physical Education Association.
Conducted impact assessments and gender/inclusion and research on sport development and safeguarding for corporates, the Australian Sports Commission, German Development Corporation and Commonwealth Games Federation amongst others.
Co-authored the UN Toolkit for Sport for Development and Peace and is currently engaged as presenter to roll it out globally.
