- 14 June 1953 - born in Moscow.

- 1974 - graduated from the State Institute of Physical Culture.

After graduating from the institute and doing military service in the Soviet Army A. Parshikov worked as a coach-teacher and an instructor in a sport school, as an inspector of schools in the department of physical education of the Russian Ministry of Education, Director of SDUSHOR (School of Olympic reserve) of the Ministry of Education (RSFSR), head of Department of All-Union Council VDFSO (All-Union voluntary sports organization) of trade unions.  In 1991-2010 – deputy General Director, General Director of Moscow physical culture and sports association. From 2010 until 2012 – Director of development  of physical culture and sports education Department in the Russian Ministry of education and science.

A.Parshikov has a scientific degree of Doctor of Pedagogy and a rank of state councilor of 3 grade, professor, honored coach of Russia.   

State decoration:  order of Friendship, honorary degree "Honored Physical Culture Worker of Russia". 

Departmental rewards: badge of honor: "For merits in developing Olympic Movement in Russia",  "Badge of Merit for Public Education".   

Certificates of Merit of: State Duma and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Administration of Russian President, Moscow Government.  

A member of State Commission on the development of elite sport of the Presidential Council on the development of physical culture and sport. President of All-Russian public organization "All-Russian association of sports schools representatives". Honorary president of Moscow federation of swimming.
