The rankings of the authoritative British magazine SportBusiness International have been brought into the open: the Russian International Olympic University's Master of Sport Administration program is named the 2nd best educational course on sports managent in Europe, the second year in a row.
The authoritative specialized British magazine SportBusiness International, which tells about the sports industry, announced the results of its annual rating of educational programs on sport management, called PostgraduateSports Course Rankings. The flagship program of the RIOU "Master of Sports Administration" took the 2nd place in Europe (the Olympic University holds this position for the second consecutive year) and the 11th place in the world, leaving behind such giants as the Swiss AISTS and Columbia University in New York. In the "global list" of winners there are 40 educational programs, and RIOU is the youngest educational institution among those presented.
Educational institutions that have launched programs at least three years ago are invited to submission in the rankings. The methodology includes conducting a survey among graduates who assess the quality of training and job opportunities after graduation. Other key criteria for evaluating the program feature the gender composition of students, the number of foreign students, the languages of instruction, the opportunities for internships, the quality of supporting services for graduates, and so on.

The results of the ranking confirm the correctness of the RIOU's strategic course and give grounds for optimism to all those who have been supporting our educational, research and educational programs. This achievement of RIOU is all the more valuable because it has been gained in the conditions of fierce competition with the leading foreign universities that have long been active on the sports education market. Nevertheless, we are not going to dwell on what we have achieved and we will confidently move forward - to the position of the world leader in sports business education. "
Last year the Russian International Olympic University turned out to be the only educational institution from Russia that got into the ranking ever since it was launched. This year RIOU confirmed its position. (In 2014, RIOU's "Master of Sport Administration" program was mentioned in the section "Ones to Watch" .As a new educational institution, the university could not then participate in the ranking, but there were already preconditions for RIOU's entry into the top-list in the future).
